Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take to the water as they travel by war canoe on tour of Canada

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paddled a 25ft Haida war canoe to a remote archipelago off the west coast of Canada today – to be greeted with a lunch of mushy peas.

They visited Haida Gwaii, formerly the Queen Charlotte Islands, in British Columbia on the penultimate day of their eight-day tour of Canada.
